Background

H2Observer is a tool that enable users to make decisions about their residential or commercial property regarding water infrastructure. This is centered around either finding out about a property’s water risk (flood plain information) or its water value (rainwater collection information). Users are about to manipulate some of the views in order to look at what-if scenarios to better plan for their future. This was an internal Webonise project.

Exploration

A lot of directions were explored at the beginning sketch stage. The idea that we focused and continue with were the ones that visually combined the idea of water and data layers since that’s the core of what this product is all about. Concentrating on these key elements was key to our goal of a strong identity that could hold its own in the many introduction conversations our beta product would have.

Identity finalization

This very symmetrical with a twist was created through manipulating what started as a very simple idea in the sketch phase. My design team members Erin and Martin rolled out the identity in the user experience of the product itself and the marketing sites for this beta release. You can see more by visiting h2observer.com
